Off
to my life’s great adventure,
Up
the emerald mountains ahead,
Beneath
those cushions in rapture,
With
these air trinkets overhead
I
enjoyed wandering with bliss
Then
came upon a precipice.
A
precipice arousing fear,
Negated
by thrill and wonder
The
impulse was stirring me, dear
Got
me feeling anxious further
I
weighed my thoughts for a moment
Little
steps soon lured by strong current.
Panicky
on this precipice,
My
wits advised me to withdraw
I
might fall down deep the abyss,
Dead
silly from a super flaw
Nothing
would catch me so pure
Except
a cold, hard ground for sure.
But
on it the glow I needed,
On
it enough sky I breathe in,
On
it I appear real splendid
Yet
unknowing of me within
The
more I tread close to the edge
The
more chances I’m dead to pledge.
Unsure
where I’d end up after
It
urges me to trust on it
I’m
on the edge, its force stronger
And
it lures me to jump at it.
My
heart sprints, O, will I survive?
A
dead line if I wouldn’t dive.
